I work in audiobook production and Tag Editor makes it a breeze to edit the metadata. Really wish it was one flat purchase instead of a subscription but otherwise very satisfied.

I use MacUpdater to track updates and well… this is another excellent app where the MAS version trails the “outside” version. I’m happy they updated it, it’s one of those “I don’t use this often, but when I need it I need it” apps. Recommended if you need to edit music files in bulk.

Compared to iTunes, this program is so much easier to edit your music. For example, after you edit a file, the line in the spreadsheet turns gray. This is just one of the great features in this program.

I have used several tag editors over the years … and this is the one that I have kept the longest. It works the best and is easiest to use of any I have used. Thanks for a super app!

My experience has been that Tag Editor has become more stable, more refined, and more useful. I use it regularly for maintaining my music library.

This app helps me a lot with managing my big audio library, would be nice to see option with audio player incorporated, to preview the tracks directly from app. Also It'd really help to make native version for Mac M1-2-3 processors without involving Rosetta mode

Overall does what I need it to do. Batch changes are great. You can use Excel to alter whole columns of data. iTunes doesn't always recognize all or part of the changes, so you have to reimport the music into iTunes. That screws up the date added to your library (it all appears to have been added when you re-imported the data). And it deletes the songs from my playlists. Also I have to click on a field a million times to get into text entry, and even then it feels finicky. Works great, but sometimes you have to slap the side of the machine, so to speak.

I wasted days of my life trying out all kinds of substitutes for mp3 tag management on macOS becuase I didn't want to pay. I wanted a simple free app. But every free app I tried was either insanely complex or could only edit one song at a time. I tried using Tag Editor Lite as long as I could but kept getting frustrated by the nagging purchase reminder. Finally I lost my temper and just paid the darn $30 for the full version. And seriously, I am breathing easier and my heartrate is down. Don't waste more time and stress. They did the heavy work already. All you have to do is buy it. Stop going back and forth. Just do it already. Even if you use it just once a month or something, it's great to have a solid and constantly updated utility like this in your toolbelt.

Personally, I very much like the spreadsheet-style interface of this tag editor. Needed a new solution after moving to Mac machines, and Tag Editor was what I finally landed on. Workflow is smooth, and can dramatically increase efficiency when editing large or small batches.

Parfait, surtout pour renomer les tags tels que numéro de piste (track) car quand on importe plusieurs CD, la numérotation repart à 1 à chaque fois alors que pour conserver l'ordre de lecture il est préférable d'incrémenter toujours sans revenir à 1. De ce fait, Tag Editor Lite m'a beaucoup aidé et fait gagner un temps précieux. Merci !!

Did exactly what I wanted. Very easy and intuitive to use. My only complaint is that another tag editor messed up my files. Now the album always loads out of order. I was hoping this tag editor could fix the order but I don't see a way to edit the track number order.
